Cancellation Policy
Your spa treatments are reserved especially for you. I value your business and ask that you respect the spa's scheduling policies. I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
A 24 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give a 24 hour advance notice, you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. An invoice will be emailed to you stating the service charges/fees or the equivalent amount will be deducted from gift certificates. This amount must be paid prior to scheduling your next appointment. All services require a credit card or gift certificate to guarantee a reservation. You will not be billed unless there is a late cancellation or no-show. Upon checkout, clients may select their method of payment. When you schedule your appointment with Urban Skin Works, you are agreeing to these policies.
No-Shows:
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.
Late Arrivals:
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
Cell Phones:
The spa kindly asks that you turn your cell phones to vibrate or "off" upon arrival. Also, please end your conversations before entering the spa as other therapy sessions may be underway and should not be disturbed. Kindly refrain from making calls immediately after your service as another client may be waiting for their scheduled appointment. By adhering to these requests, it will allow the spa scheduling to flow easily and without interruption. Cell phone use may affect the length of your spa service.
Prices & Services:
Prices and services are subject to change without advance notice. This may apply to retail products as well. Clients are encouraged to inquire about pricing and available services when booking your appointment.
Gift Certificate Policy:
Gift certificates are available in any denomination and may be purchased in person at the spa or by phone at 562-354-3008 and picked up at a later time. Special arrangements may be made for mailing to a recipient based on the spa's approval. Unfortunately, the spa is unable to process returns or reimbursements on any payment transactions for certificate purchases, including lost or stolen certificates. All sales are final. Gift certificates may not be redeemed as cash and must be surrendered at the time of redemption. Purchased certificates never expire.
Series of Treatments:
The spa is unable to process any returns or reimbursements on any payment transactions on any spa treatment series or "bundles". All sales are final. The spa will, however, issue a spa credit of equal value.
Gratuity:
Gratuities are much appreciated but are not included in the price of any service. Customary tipping for service providers is 15- 20% of your service total, however, it is at your complete discretion.
Spa Specials & Promotions:
Spa specials and promotions may not be used in combination with any other offer. Unpurchased promotional mini spa certificates have an expiration and will not be accepted once expired. Checking In:
Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment. This time will allow you to fill out necessary paperwork, refresh yourself and relax in order to enjoy the intent of your visit. Late arrivals will be accepted at the discretion of the service provider. Please see the "Late Arrival " section for details. The spa provides water, tea or coffee upon your request.
Children's Safety & Animals:
Children are welcome in the spa when receiving a spa service or accompanied and supervised by an adult. For safety reasons and liability purposes, children under the age of 12 may not accompany you while are having a service. Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated, as the spa cannot assure their safety in a professional environment. In addition, the spa does not want to compromise the relaxation and tranquility of the spa environment for our other clients. For the comfort of your pets, please leave them at home. Only service animals are permitted in the spa as a registered and trained service dog, signal dog or guide dog to disabled persons.
Owners of service animals accept all responsibility for the overall cleanliness, care and behavior of their animal while visiting the spa so as not to disrupt the relaxation and tranquility of the spa environment. Thank you again, for your cooperation and understanding.
Personal Belongings:
Please leave all jewelry and valuable items at home. Bringing them into the spa will be at your own risk. Urban Skin Works accepts no responsibility or liability for lost or misplaced items.
Return Policy:
It is the spa's mission and goal to provide you with the highest-quality skin and body care products with your services. In the event you are dissatisfied with any purchased retail items from Urban Skin Works, they may be exchanged or refunded within 14 days of purchase. Any returns must be accompanied by the original receipt and packaging, without exception.
